Soy Virginia, soy mamá y fotógrafa... y a veces al revés. Nací en Córdoba, Argentina y estudié artes en Buenos Aires. Luego tuve la increíble oportunidad de viajar por Europa. Hablo español, inglés y alemán.
Estudié, trabajé y viví en Barcelona durante seis años. Después de esa maravillosa experiencia nos mudamos y formamos una familia en Mallorca, España. En esta isla mágica es donde nos convertimos en cuatro y nació mi pasión por la fotografía de retrato familiar o fotografía emocional.
Como mi madre me dijo una vez "Ves el mundo en imágenes"... y creo que tiene razón.
Justo antes de la pandemia nos mudamos a Hamburgo, Alemania. En medio del "lockdown" nace " Virginia Barrantes Photographie" con más fuerza que nunca. La experiencia es intensa e increíble en todos los sentidos.
Y llegó el momento de volver a casa, a nuestro amado pueblo de Alaró en la hermosa isla de Mallorca.
El cambio es el único estado permanente, quizás por eso me encanta el arte de capturar momentos, instantes eternos.
Si me sigues por redes me verás patinando o haciendo paddle surf que son mis nuevos amores.

I’m Virginia Barrantes, I’m a mum and a photographer….. and sometimes the other way around. I was born in Córdoba, Argentina and there I studied arts in Buenos Aires. Then I had the amazing opportunity to travel around Europe.
I studied, worked and lived in Barcelona for six years. After that wonderful experience we moved and formed a family in Mallorca, Spain. On that magical island is where we became four and my passion for family portrait photography or emotional photography was born.
Like my mum once told me: “You see the world in pictures”…. and I think she’s right.
We had the amazing opportunity to live in Hamburg Germany for three years and there is where "Virginia Barrantes Photographie" had born. It was such an incredible experience but time had come to came back home to our beloved town in the Tramuntana.
Alaró is again our home and we are very happy.
Change is the only permanent state, maybe that’s why I love the art of capturing moments.
If you follow me on social media you will also see me skating or paddle surfing which are my new loves.
